Joy in the Rain
What a beautiful day,
Haze shrouding among the gnarling hardwood of the oak trunks,
Rising up and over to catch the sun,
A bold statement of truth; of Nature.
What a joyful moment,
As I catch myself in judgement and say aloud, I Love myself.
And I want the best for everyone.
And when I recognize shame, let it go with an exhale.
What a delightful opportunity,
To spill the milk and laugh out loud.
To fail and remember it is learning.
To know empathy in times of war.
What a peaceful experience.
To sit in silence; and give thanks.
To make amends to my children after melting down,
To perceive danger and remember that I am safe in the Lord.
What a Love you bring,
In the dark times and the light.
In the ease and in the turmoil.
In the sun and in the rain.
